This unforgettable tour begins with a charming tractor-pulled wagon ride above the town of Göreme. As you travel through the fairy chimneys, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding villages and enchanting valleys.
You hear rumbling down the street as an ark-like vehicle pulled by a tractor approaches to take you to the Valley of the Kings a few kilometers outside Göreme. Along the way, the vehicle stops at several viewpoints, where your guide will share fascinating insights into the agricultural heritage, culture, history, and traditions of the region.
You will then hike down carved stone stairways into the heart of this rocky landscape, descending handmade steps to a tranquil organic farm that has been owned by the Yavuz family of the Kelebek Group for over 400 years.
Here, women dressed in embroidered headscarves and patterned pantaloons prepare gozleme—a traditional Turkish flatbread made with thinly rolled dough and cooked over a wood-fired oven carved into the rock.
You will enjoy a wholesome organic breakfast featuring fresh fruits and vegetables harvested directly from the garden, farm-fresh eggs from free-ranging chickens and ducks, homemade jams crafted by local village women, and locally sourced honey.
